English Premier League giant, Manchester City, have indicated interest in signing on more Nigerian star players.

Some of those on the radar of Manchester City that already has the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho and Chidiebere Nwakali are Ifeanyi Matthew and Kingley Sokari who are, at the moment, with the Flying Eagles team at the U20 World Cup in New Zealand.

Manchester City’s Head of Recruitment, Gary Worthington, said he would watch Nigeria’s first two matches against Brazil and North Korea after he was hinted on the potential of several players of the African champions.

“I will spend nine days in New Zealand during which I will watch the first two matches of Nigeria (vs Brazil and North Korea). We have been alerted about some potential in the team,” Worthington said.

Worthington will also use the opportunity to assess the progress other players on the books of City have made.

The City recruitment boss noted that he will also be at the U-17 World Cup in Chile later in the year, adding that, he will look out for Portugal midfielder Rony Lopes, who is on loan to Lille in France from City.
