Makarfi condemns Kaduna mayhem

Senator Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi is saddened by the news of the recent eruption of violence and attendant losses of lives and property in Kasuwan Magani of Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The Senator believes that even though misunderstandings and disagreements are normal in any human society, resort to violence cannot be justified in any way. As human beings, and believers in our two major religions, i.e. Islam and Christianity, both of which have peace and good neighbourliness as part of their creeds, we have no reason whatsoever to descend to bestiality citing reasons of religion or ethnicity, because even our various ethnic groups have historically been known to live peacefully with one another.

Senator Makarfi advises we imbibe lessons as taught by the Holy Books as well as our age-old traditions of accommodation the held our fabrics in the past, even as we bear in mind, that progress and development, which we all yearn for, cannot be attained in an atmosphere of hostility and suspicion.
Senator Makarfi condoles with the Government and people of Kaduna State over this unfortunate incident and reiterates his appeal for all to embrace peace for the benefit of all.
