Gov. Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing a former Speaker, State House of Assembly, Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji, as the Director+General, Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations (NOTN).

This is contained in a letter of congratulations to Rikiji over his recent appointment, signed by Lawal

in Gusau on Friday.

The letter reads: ‘‘It is with a glad heart, that I wish to formally convey to you on behalf of myself and good people of Zamfara our hearty congratulations on your appointment as Director-General, NOTN, by President Tinubu.”

The Governor described Rikiji’s appointment as timely and commendable.

“As you prepare to settle down and execute the functions of the office, I assure you my support and prayers and that of the good people of Zamfara for you to succeed and deliver the heavy burden and responsibilities entrusted upon you by Mr President.

“While you face the all-challenging new selfless service, we are confident that your blend of skills, endowed innovative ideas, decades of experience, and divine intervention will guide you to transform and open new windows of opportunities for moving Nigeria’s trade globally.

“We pray that your presence there as our ambassador will change the narratives,” the governor added.
