The Lagos State University Alumni Association has congratulated Mr. Tunji Rilwan Disu on his appointment as Acting Inspector General of Police, describing the development as a proud moment for the institution and its graduates.
In a statement issued by its National President, Norrison Quakers (SAN), the association commended Disu’s dedication, professionalism and leadership in public service, noting that his academic and professional background has adequately prepared him for the new role.
Quakers highlighted that Disu’s studies in English Education, Public Administration, Criminology, Security, and Legal Psychology at Lagos State University have equipped him with the multidisciplinary expertise required to lead the nation’s police force at a critical time.
“As you lead the Nigeria Police Force, we are confident that your expertise will drive meaningful reforms, boost public trust and enhance service delivery,” the statement read.
The alumni body described the appointment as a testament to the quality of education at LASU and the capacity of its graduates to shape institutions and contribute to national development.
“This appointment is a proud moment for LASU, showcasing our alumni’s ability to drive national progress,” Quakers added, while wishing the new Acting IGP wisdom, courage and success in office.
The association concluded with its rallying call: “We are LASU, We are Great”.
