pdp_logo2The Lagos State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), on Tuesday directed members interested in elective political offices in the 2015 general elections to signify with letters of intent.

Mr Taofik Gani, the Publicity Secretary, PDP Lagos State Chapter, in a statement issued in Lagos, said that all political aspirants should express their interest formally to the party from Tuesday (Jan. 7).

“This step is deliberate to regulate the influx and the lobby of aspirants in order to have a level playing field for all,’’ he said.

Gani said that the aspirants should accompany the letters of intent with their resume and address them to the state working committee through the office of the State Chairman of the party.

He said that the committee had been mandated to compile all letters of intent and make them available to the State Executive of the party.

The move by the party followed appeals by aspirants clamouring for a level playing field and the opening of the political space.
