Kwara: Ahmed challenges PDP, LP candidates to debate

Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has challenged the governorship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Simeon Ajibola, and his Labour Party (LP) counterpart, Mike Omotosho, to a public debate.
Ahmed is the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the North-Central state.
He said after the debate, Kwara people would know that the duo have nothing to offer them.
Reinstating his conviction to better the lives of Kwarans during his second term, he said such a platform would enable each flag-bearer present his scorecard to the electorate ahead of the February 28 election.
Ahmed spoke through his Special Adviser on Communication Strategy, Alhaji Abdulraheem Adedoyin, in Ilorin.
“Enough of campaign of calumny. We should embark on issue-based campaign rather than campaign of calumny that could impugn the image of those seeking elective offices.”
