Kenyan President, Shettima, Sanwo-Olu, Bello-Koko, others bag Significance Africa Awards

Kenya, the East African nation, will on July 29, 2023, be agog as the cream of African leaders will be celebrated at the 9th Significance Africa Awards for their sterling achievements and contributions to Africa’s development.

The honouree are His Excellency, President William Ruto (Kenya), Nathanael Koty (Benin) Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu (Nigeria) Mr Sunday Dare (Nigeria) His Excellency, Sarafa Tunji Ishola (Nigeria) amongst a host of others.

While Governor Sanwo-Olu will be honored for sustaining Enterprise friendly environment and decorated with Hero of Positive Change Award, Mohammed Bello Koko, MD/CEO of Nigeria Ports Authority will receive Significance African Person of the Year award, Hon. Olubunmi Amao will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and Nathaneal Koty will have the Sports Federation Leader Award.

The awards ceremony, the 9th edition to be organised by the multimedia communication firm, is in partnership with Travel Africa.

Aside its Online newspaper significanceafrica.com.ng, Significance Africa publishes a quarterly News Magazine and other special publications.

Other awardees listed to be honoured for their significant strides and exploits in politics, business, governance, sports and entertainment are: Bar. Yusuf Ali, (SAN) The Chairman, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd); Minister for Tourism Hon. Hamat BAH (Gambia); Dr. Abu Bakarr Karim, Minister for Agriculture and Forestry (Sierra leone); Prof. Moji Adeyeye, DG NAFDAC (Nigeria); Patricia Obo-Nai CEO Vodafone (Ghana); Lafarge Africa, United Bank for Africa (UBA); Access Bank Lagos Marathon and Elgon Kenya Ltd.

All the awardees flaunt matchless credentials and commitment to changing the narrative by fostering growth and development in their areas of competence.

With diverse passions and varied resources, they strive daily to uplift the continent and enhance the lives of the people of Africa,” says Significance Africa’s Publisher Adebowale Aderotoye.

Professor P.L.O. Lumumba will be taking the podium as the Guest Speaker, with the Theme: Open Border Policy within African Country: A Panacea for African Unity and Exponential Economic Growth.
