A cleric, Dr. Tayo Popoola, has called for total national revival over the myriad of problems besetting the country.
Speaking on Sunday while ministering during the second anniversary thanksgiving service of Omu-Ajibode branch of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries in Ogun State, Dr. Popoola who is the head pastor of the church, said in the last 60 years of the existence of Nigeria as a sovereign state, things have never been so bad and worrisome as they are currently.

Ministering on the theme : The Lord’s promise of revival after two days from the book of Hosea 6:2, Dr. Popoola said every aspect of the nation requires urgent national revival through prayer and fasting in order to restore peace and security across the land.
Dr. Popoola, therefore, tasked all religious leaders in the country to rise to the occasion, adding that he was sure God would ask all the religious leaders what they did to stem the tide of insecurity and other problems facing the nation by way of prayers.

To achieve peace and meaningful development, Dr. Popoola said Nigerians must return to God and eschew all forms of ungodly acts.

Highlights of the thanksgiving service were two heartwarming testimonies by two families in the church.

The first testimony concerned a student member of the church who narrowly escaped death in the recent accident involving some students of Ondo State University, Akungba-Akoko, Ondo State.

The student said the accident, which claimed over 10 lives, occurred barely a minute after leaving the spot where the accident occurred.

The second testimony concerned a divine intervention which prevented a fire disaster.

The member said the family had gone for the evening Prophetic revival only to come back home and saw a car cover placed on top of a petrol generator house on fire.

He said the refuse in the next compound was set on fire only for wind to carry fire which landed on the generator house which led to the complete burning of the car cover. However, God prevented the fire from catching the petrol generator and fuel under.

In his Goodwill message sent to the church, one of her Royal Patrons, Oba ‘Femi Ogunleye, the Arole Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Abeokuta, congratulated the church on the anniversary as well as her numerous achievements over the years.

Oba Ogunleye charged the church and all Nigerians to pray for peace across the country.
