Ten-man FC Ifeanyi Ubah Football Club on Wednesday in Abuja defeated  Rangers International FC of Enugu  4-3 on penalties to clinch the 2017 Charity Cup.
The match played at the main bowl of the National Stadium ended 0-0 at the end of regulation time.
It was a cagey affair between the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions, Rangers and the Federation Cup winners, Ifeanyi Ubah, in the first half.
However, Ifeanyi Ubah’s left back, Kojo Baah was shown a second yellow card towards the end of the first half which gave room for Rangers to begin to dominate the game.
Rangers continued from where they left off in the second half as they kept piling pressure on the defence of their opponents but unfortunately they couldn’t find a leeway.
The game had to be decided on the lottery of the penalty shootout which Ifeanyi Ubah won 4-3.
The winning penalty kick was taken by Ifeanyi Ubah’s midfield maestro, Prince Aggreh.
