Bode Durojaiye, Oyo.

Tragedy struck recently at Ile Titun Compound, Oke Afin area of Atiba Local Government, Oyo State when a hoodlum, Idris Eji (Pawpaw) attacked and beat to death with a charm, a middle-aged man, Moshood Adeyemi.
The incident started when the deceased told the suspect to stop coming to the back of their compound to smoke marijuana.
The challenge did not go down well with Pawpaw who vowed to deal with Adeyemi.
Freedom Online learned that Adeyemi was on his way to visit a member of his family when Pawpaw attacked him with a charm from the back.
Immediately, he fell and started screaming in pains.
One of his brothers who was with him, Taiwo, raised the alarm and ran to inform other members of the family.
Before their arrival, Pawpaw had escaped.
Adeyemi was immediately taken to a private hospital but his situation got worse.
In fact, in a matter of hours, he was no longer recognisable as his body had swollen.
As doctors were battling to identify what could be used to treat him, he died.
Amid tears, he was immediately buried according to Islamic rites.
Mother of the deceased, Aishat, who was crying, said: “When the incident occurred, we stormed the residence of Eji’s father at Ile-Ebuke to inform them. They neither showed concern nor even sympathised. After the burial, we contacted them again and the same thing happened.’’
Aishat, who described her son as “easy-going and amiable person’’, said the matter had been reported to Atiba Divisional Police Command.
Pawpaw’s father has already been arrested and detained.
Detectives have also spread their dragnet to arrest Pawpaw.
