Governor Peter Mbah has stated that his administration is rebuilding public trust, transforming infrastructure, and setting the stage for a prosperous future in Enugu State.

Mbah made the remarks during a Thanksgiving Mass at the Government House Chapel on Friday, commemorating the third anniversary of his tenure since taking office in 2023. He highlighted the Citizens’ Charter as a cornerstone of his administration’s commitment to restoring confidence in governance.

“When we assumed office, many citizens had lost faith in public institutions due to years of unfulfilled promises,” Mbah said. “The Charter is about trust, service, and creating a mindset that prioritizes the people.”

The governor emphasized achievements across education, technology, transportation, healthcare, security, and infrastructure, noting that Enugu is gradually emerging as a hub for the new energy economy. Schools are introducing technology-driven learning, exposing students to robotics, artificial intelligence, agriculture, and science.

Mbah also pointed to enhancements in transportation and connectivity, including road projects, transport terminals, and air links connecting Enugu to major cities. He urged citizens to protect the progress made, stressing that sustainable development requires collective responsibility and vigilance against political distractions.

“The future of this state cannot depend solely on one administration,” he said. “Education, healthcare, infrastructure, security, technology, investment, and public trust are the foundations that will sustain us.”

In his homily, Monsignor Obiora Ike commended Mbah and his predecessor, Gov. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, for fostering political continuity and peace in the state. Ike stressed that unity, humility, and competent advisory teams are essential for successful governance.

The event was attended by political leaders, clergy, government officials, and supporters from across Enugu State.
