Gov. Murtala Nyako of Adamawa on Monday visited ailing Gov. Danbaba Suntai of Taraba, who returned to Jalingo on Sunday after 10 months of medical treatment abroad.
Suntai underwent medical treatment in Germany and the U.S. following injuries sustained in a plane crash in October last year.
Nyako was accompanied by his Deputy, Mr Bala Ngillari and other top government officials.
The governor prayed for Suntai’s quick recovery and for God to continue to strengthen his family during the trying period.
He expressed delight for the governor’s return home alive to resume his executive functions as soon as possible.
“I am happy to see him alive and pray for his quick recovery so that we can join hands and continue the good work that we have been doing for our people,” he said.
Responding, Suntai’s wife, Hauwa, thanked Nyako for his support for the family during their trying moment.
“I want to thank you and the government of Adamawa for the role you play in saving my husband’s life,” she said.
