glo_logoThe Super Eagles have been told by the management of Globacom Unlimited to make sure they defeat the Walya Antelopes of Ethiopia when both sides battle in their World Cup 2014 qualifiers match in Addis Ababa on Sunday.

The leading telecommunications operator and National teams’ sponsor, advised the team to put in one hundred percent performance in the encounter to ensure total victory.

It is a must-win encounter and we believe the Eagles can make it,” Globacom said in a statement in Lagos on Wednesday.

The Ethiopians host the Eagles in Addis Ababa on Sunday and the Stephen Keshi-coached team knows that a win will put the World Cup ticket beyond the Antelopes ahead of the second leg in Calabar on November 16.

“We reckon that the Ethiopians have been talking tough on this encounter, but at the same time we wish to express our belief that the Eagles will rise to the big occasion and get the result in Addis Ababa,” the statement said.

“At this particular point, we do not expect that the Eagles will take anything for granted and specifically will play like the true African champion to overcome the Antelopes.

The fact that most of the Eagles have reached their peak in the ongoing season suggests that Nigeria will triumph in the game and we align with the Eagles’ ambition to get Nigeria’s flag hoisted in Brazil next year.

Globacom therefore called on Nigerians to keep supporting the team with prayers as the team get set to conquer Ethiopia .

Globacom is a major partner of the Nigeria Football Federation and official telecommunications sponsor of the national teams.
