stephen_keshiThe chief coach of the Super Eagles, Stephen Keshi, has declared that his heart desire at the moment is nothing but to help Nigeria qualify for the Brazil 2014 World Cup finals.

He said: “My target is to qualify Nigeria for the World Cup in 2014, that is what are are aiming for and we hope to achieve it.

“I am not thinking of making history of any such. All I’m concerned about is leading Nigeria to the World Cup.” he said in Abuja.

The coach who also qualified Togo for the 2006 World Cup, has been putting his players through their paces at their Abuja camp as they prepare for Sunday’s clash and says all hands must be on deck to make sure Nigeria lands in Brazil.

“We are here working hard to get Nigeria to the best football festival in the world, we need to join our hands together because it is a collective work.

“Keshi alone cannot do it, the players alone cannot do it. We need everyone to be on board.

“We ask Nigerians to stay positive, support the team and pray for the best.” Keshi stated.

Super Eagles chief coach, Steven Keshi, has called on Nigerians to support the team as they are on the verge of qualifying Nigeria for her fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.

Keshi, who holds the accolade of being the only Nigerian to have won the Africa Cup of Nations as a player and a coach, emphasized that all hands must be on deck to ensure Nigeria makes the finals next year.

Nigeria will tackle Ethiopia on Sunday, 13th October in a first leg final FIFA 2014 World Cup Africa zone qualifiers in Addis Ababa.

The last time the two teams met was at the group stage of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations that was held in South Africa, where a Victor Moses brace gave Nigeria a 2-0 victory.
