The capital city of Lagos State, Ikeja, will on Sunday experience Nigeria’s biggest musical show in 2017, the Glo Mega Music Nationwide Tour scheduled to hold at 10 Degrees Event Centre, Oregun.
Globacom, in a statement, said the Ikeja edition of the popular show which will begin at 40 p.m. will feature seven extraordinary acts.
The acts performing at the show are the nation’s best and they include Tuface, PSquare, Flavour, Timaya, Runtown, Reekado Banks and Katch Other stars who have thrilled audiences at the Glo show since it kicked off about three months ago are Yemi Alade, Olamide, Korede Bello, Kiss Daniel, Dija and Omawumi.
“That the Glo Mega Music Tour is returning to Lagos barely two weeks after we held a blockbuster edition of it in Victoria Island underscores the pride of place Lagos occupies in our hearts. Ikeja is set to experience the kind of complete and undiluted fun and entertainment that was unleashed at the shows in Victoria Island, Ibadan and other venues”, the company explained.
Globacom said that in addition to the A-List artistes billed to perform at the concert, “the show will be anchored by the duo of Juliet Ibrahim from Ghana and Nigeria’s Ebube Nwagbo, while DJ Neptune will supply music from the turntable”.
The statement also listed Nollywood legend, Patience Ozokwor, a.k.a. Mama G,  and Yoruba movie star, Odunlade Adekola, as guest celebrities at the event.
Commenting on the show, Mr. Augustus-ndu Offor,  Glo Business Director, Lagos, said that the musical concert “is specially designed to celebrate and reward our teeming subscribers for their loyalty and faith in the Glo Brand. This free, yet premium quality show is our own way of expressing our profound gratitude to our esteemed subscribers for standing solidly with this proudly Nigerian telecoms brand over the years”.
He added that, “in Globacom, our customers are number one. We are determined to always thrill them in different ways. This is why we are running this music show alongside the Glo Laffta Fest, the biggest comedy show ever in this country. No other company delights its customers this way”, Offor enthused.
To qualify to attend the concert, he added, “all a subscriber needs to do is to recharge his or her Glo SIM card with a minimum of N2,000 within a month and send the word “MUSIC” and the preferred location to a short code 207, such as “MUSIC IKEJA” to “207″ . The subscriber will then get a message inviting him or her to the show”.
