Nigeria’s next generation network, Globacom, has congratulated four of its brand ambassadors, namely Ayo Balogun popularly called Wizkid,
Reekado Banks, Korede Bello and Mike Abaga, popularly called MI, on their recognition at the 2015 Headies awards held in Lagos recently.
The artistes won some of the most coveted awards at the event. Wizkid won the Best R & B/ Pop album for “A.Y.O.”, while his monster hit
“Ojuelegba” was adjudged the “Song of the Year”.

Reekado Banks also won two awards, “Next Rated” and “Best Music Video”
for his song “Katapot”.

Talented rapper, MI, went home with “Best Rap Album”
for his album, “Chairman”, while Korede Bello’s “God win” won the
“Best Pop” single award.

Globacom, in a statement described the various awards won by its brand
ambassadors as a testament to their popularity and a confirmation of
their status in the entertainment industry.

“We received the news of the awards haul by some of our brand
ambassadors with great joy. We are happy that they were adjudged the
best in the entertainment industry, and this resonates with our brand
promise of promoting excellence. They are worthy ambassadors indeed”,
the statement added.

Globacom said the fact that two critical categories of the awards,
namely, “Song of the Year” and “Next Rated” were strictly decided by
fans’ votes gives added value to the quality of the “Headies Awards”.
Globacom urged the winners not to rest on their oars.
