frsc_logoThe Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) says it has redeployed 45 of its senior officers across the nation.

A statement issued by Mr Jonas Agwu, the commission’s Public Education Officer on Sunday, said that one Deputy Corps Marshal and 10 Assistant Corps Marshals were affected in the exercise.

It said others included 22 Corps Commanders, seven Deputy Corps Commanders, four Assistant Corps Commanders and one Chief Route Commander.

The statement said that the movement was part of effort to reposition the organisation for effective service delivery.

With the movement, Mr Chidi Nwachukwu, a Deputy Corps Marshal, now takes charge of Training, Standards and Certification, while Assistant Corps Marshal Wole Olaniran becomes the Legal Adviser to the commission.

Messrs Charles Akpabio and Kayode Olagunju, who were former Sector Commanders in Lagos and Rivers, assumed duties as the Zonal Commanding Officer, Benin and Head, Policy Research and Statistics Department respectively.

According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect.
