*Qualification race intensifies

Brazil kept pace in the fiercely contested Group C race at the FIFA World Cup 2026 with a commanding 3-0 victory over Haiti, as Matheus Cunha and Vinícius Júnior spearheaded another impressive performance from the South American giants.
Cunha struck twice in the first half before Vinícius Júnior added a third goal in stoppage time to secure all three points and propel Brazil to the top of the group on goal difference.
The victory sets up a dramatic final round of matches, with Brazil facing Scotland while Morocco takes on Haiti.
With both Brazil and Morocco level on points and separated only by goal aggregate, the race for first place in Group C is set to go down to the wire. Having taken care of business against Haiti, Brazil now knows that another strong performance against Scotland could secure top spot, while the Atlas Lions remain firmly in contention and will be aiming for a convincing result against Haiti.

Haiti

Haiti has become the first team to be eliminated from the tournament.
As the group stage enters its decisive phase, two of football’s most exciting nations are sprinting toward the finish line with knockout qualification and group supremacy hanging in the balance.
