Confederation of African Football (CAF) President, Dr Patrice Motsepe, has declared that FIFA President, Gianni Infantino, will be supported for reelection by Member Association Presidents in Africa.
The election into global football’s number one position holds next year.

Some members of Union of European Football Association (UEFA) have kicked against the return of Infantino next year.
They vowed to campaign against him.
But, Motsepe kicked against the move by UEFA, insisting that Infantino would be reelected for another term in office.
He reiterated the position on Thursday at the CAF Strategy Conference in Sal, Cabo Verde.
Speaking in front of 52 of CAF’s 54 Member Association Presidents present in Sal, Motsepe reaffirmed that “Africa stands with Infantino and will stand by him at all times ahead of the upcoming FIFA presidential election”.

Motsepe also, on behalf of CAF and the African football family, expressed his support and sent a message to Infantino’s wife and loved ones following certain comments made in the media.
