The Federation of International Football Association, Fifa, has named Maeruf Kherseed from Eritrea as referee for the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying match between Namibia and Nigeria at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Windhoek on Wednesday, June 12.

Maeruf Kherseed, 40, became an international referee in 2008.

He will be assisted by compatriot Berhe Tesfagiorghis O’Michael, 38, who is Assistant Referee 1, and who became an international assistant referee in 2004.

Hassan Egueh Yacin from Djibouti will be the Assistant Referee 2, with another Eritrean, Luelseghed Ghebremichael as Fourth Official. Ghebremichael, 41, became an international referee in 2004.

FIFA also appointed Mady Kanoso Bora from Madagascar as Referee Assessor and Abbasi Ssendyowa from Uganda as Match Commissioner.

The match has been slated to kick off at the artificial turf of the Sam Nujoma Stadium from 8pm Namibia time.
