The burial committee set-up to take full charge of the interment of the former chief coach of the Super Falcons Coach, Joseph Ladipo has expressed their disappointment on the inability to get needed funds to give the departed

Guests would be entertained after the interment inside the Indoor Gymnasium Hall of the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium.

The committee also noted that they are yet to a have clear financier for the event as they are hoping to get quick responses from letters that were sent out to various quarters seeking assistance, in order to give the departed coach who passed away in his Apata Ibadan home on May 9 a befitting burial rite.

They however, appealed to the 11 local government areas located within Ibadan metropolis where the deceased hailed from to contribute towards giving the Jossy Lad a befitting burial.

“We are expecting to get support from the 11 local government areas situated within Ibadan metropolis where the late coach comes from and started his football sojourn in the 60s, although we have also written to the Nigeria Football Federations (NFF), The Minister of Sports, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, the State Government and spirited individuals,” Eddy Ayoola, chairman of the committee said.

Other committee members include Dr. Felix Owolabi, Dr. Steve Olarinoye, the zonal coordinator of National Sports Commission, Zone 1 headquarters, Ibadan, Rafiu Salami, Jossy Lad’s team-mate, Pastor Solomon Oni, cousin to the deceased, Tunji Ladipo, son of the deceased, Chief Adewolu Ayinla, who was in-charged of security and protocol and Femi Okenla, former Oyo SWAN Chairman, who represented media in the committee.
