emmanuel_emenikeTurkish club champions, Fenerbahce FC which have Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, as one of their main players, are on the verge of signing yet another Nigerian soccer star, Emmanuel Emenike.

Emenike’s Russian club Spartak Moscow, have agreed terms with the Turkish club where the Eagles Nations Cup hero left at a time the club was enmeshed in a match fixing scandal.

Fenerbahce and Spartak Moscow are reported to have agreed on a transfer fee of 13 million Euros for the Nigeria striker.

Fenerbahce have been discussing with the Russia team, Spartak Moscow over the return of the Nigeria international to the team.

Club president Aziz Yildirim and staff will herald the transfer within the next 48 hours.

Fenerbahce face Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg in a UEFA Champions League clash and Emenike’s capture is expected to be announced officially after the game.

Spartak Moscow had earlier insisted that Fenerbahce would have to bid at least 20-million Pounds for Emmanuel Emenike before they will consider a sale.

“There are only two ways this transfer will go ahead, firstly his minimum fee release clause will have to be activated. The other option is to agree a price close to his release clause fee,” CEO Roman Ashkabadze said.

Ashkabadze did not reveal the exact amount of the release clause, but it has been previously reported to be in the range of 20 to 45 million pounds.

Fenerbahce are in the forefront of the chase for the Nigeria striker, but they are not alone.
