Fayemi visits Alaafin

Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State, on Sunday, visited the Alaafin of Oyo, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi.

Freedom Online learned that the visit was to douse the tension in the Ekiti State Traditional Council.

The Alaafin had written a letter to Fayemi to which the Alawe of Ilawe-Ekiti countered him.
On Sunday, a source said the governor called Alaafin, asking for his itinerary.

The first class monarch told the governor he was in Ibadan and the governor proceeded to the Oyo State capital to see him.
The closed-door meeting held in Alaafin’s Ibadan residence between noon and 1pm.

The source said it was ‘a fruitful meeting’.
