Chief Coach of the Nigeria’s national Under-20 women’s team, Super Falconets, Peter Dedevbo, has said that the team is optimistic of victory against DR Congo in the U-20 World Cup qualifiers.
Dedevbo stated Abuja that the team’s preparation was in top gear. “Our training is almost coming to an end. We are sure of victory,’’ Dedevbo said.

According to him the team is fully prepared for the match, which is the second round return leg fixture, scheduled for Oct.10 at the Abuja National Stadium.

“There are also no injury worries on the part of the players. The team is fit and in good shape,” he said.

The coach also noted that the team had promising players that could fill the vacancy left by Asisat Oshola, who had since moved up to the senior National team, the Falcons.

“For now, I cannot say who that player is, until the World Cup proper. But we have quite a number of promising players and maybe in the World Cup, they will up their game,’’ he said.

The winner of both fixtures will confront the aggregate winners of the clash between South Africa and Zambia for a spot in next year’s World Cup in Papua, New Guinea.
