Embattled Director-General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, has been arrested.
Detectives from the Osun State Command of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and members of the Intelligence Response Team from Abuja arrested him on Tuesday in Osogbo in his hideout, a few hours after Justice Mohammed Umar of Federal High Court in Abuja issued a bench warrant for his arrest.
Spokesperson of the state Police Command, Abiodun Ojelabi, confirmed the arrest.
It is believed Adeyemi will be transferred to Abuja immediately to appear before the court.
