Former Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Baba Tela, and members of his family are bereaved.
Two of Tela’s children, Mustapha and Ummi, are dead.
They died on Saturday in an auto crash along the Bauchi-Azare road while returning from Azare.
Governor Bala Mohammed, in a condolence message issued by his Media Adviser, Mukhtar Gidado, said he received the heartbreaking news with profound shock and sadness.
He described the incident as a painful tragedy that has cast a shadow of grief over Bauchi State.
The governor said the loss of the two young lives was not only a devastating blow to Tela and his family but also a painful loss to the people of the state.
He prayed that Almighty Allah (SWT) grants the deceased eternal rest in Aljannatul Firdaus and gives their parents, family members, friends and loved ones the strength, patience and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
He urged the bereaved family to take solace in the will of Allah, reminding them that every soul shall return to its Creator at the appointed time.
