Enyimba hold hosts Wolves

enyimbafc2Former league champions Enyimba International FC of Aba battled hosts Warri Wolves to a goalless draw at the Warri City Stadium on Wednesday in a Nigeria league Week 25 clash.

Enyimba now have 39 points, same with Warri Wolves.

Both teams gave good account of themselves but they could not find the back of the net.

Goalkeepers Okemute Oda(Wolves) and Femi Thomas(Enyimba) were outstanding and made important saves.

Bishop Onyeudo was handful but met an uncompromising Junior Osagie in Wolves defence, while Udoji made life difficult for Etebor Oghenekaro in the Wolves attack.

Enyimba forward, Amanfor Chimezie said it was a tough game and they are happy they got a point on the road.

“It was a tough and interesting game. We both played well and wanted to win. I am happy that we didn’t return empty handed, the one point is a good one for us,” Amanfor said.

They both settled for a 1-1 draw in the reversed fixture in Aba earlier this season.
