Enyeama: Eagles don’t have excuse to fail

vincent_enyeamaSuper Eagles stand-in captain, Vincent Enyeama, has stated that the Eagles do not have any reason not to get the desired results against the Walya Antelopes in the first leg 2014 World Cup African qualifiers in Addis Ababa on Sunday and come back home to finish the job in the second leg later in November.

Enyeama was one of 18 players who trained on Tuesday at the newly-reopened National Stadium, Abuja ahead of this weekend’s 2014 World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia.

“We do not have any excuse, we have to go there and get a good result to make Nigerians happy,” Enyeama said.

“As you can see, we have started training and the intensity is good.

“We just have to keep working hard, it’s the most important game for the year and we really know what’s at stake in Brazil and we have to be there.”

Like the rest of the squad, Enyeama says he expects a tough test in Addis but is confident the Eagles will win.

“We just have to win, it’s not going to come on a platter or a bed of roses. We just have to work hard and train hard and we will get the result we want.”
