Primary and secondary schools in Enugu State have been directed to re-open on September 28, guided by a third term calendar.

Commissioner for education, Prof. Uchenna Eze, in a statement, said that there will be nine weeks of instructions and examinations to round off the third term of 2019-2020 academic year.

Schools will break for nine days, from November 27 and students return on December 7 for the 2020-2021 academic year.

Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Mrs. Nwanneka Onah, warned schools about not following the common calendar, saying, any school, be it public, mission or private, found to be contravening the approved school calendar shall be appropriately sanctioned,” she said.
