michael_eneramoBesiktas have presented Michael Eneramo to the public, but the Nigerian striker did not get his wish to be given the No.14 jersey.

The former Sivasspor star striker said he was instead presented with jersey number 30.

“I have been assigned jersey number 30 by Besiktas at the official unveiling. I was officially presented to the media and club fans,” Eneramo said.

The ex-Esperance of Tunisia captain had requested for his favourite jersey number 14 at his new club.

“I demanded for my favourite jersey number 14, but was not granted. I am happy to have this and I am eager to do my best for my team,” he said.

Jersey no 14 was worn by his boyhood hero Daniel ‘The Bull’ Amokachi, who also shone for Besiktas.

Eneramo stated that he will return to training next week after a minor knee injury.

“I am good, I should return to training next week by God’s grace,” he said.

The former Lobi Stars of Nigeria forward has signed a two-year deal with Besiktas.
