emmanuel_emenikeSuper Eagles striker, Emmanuel Emenike, has vowed to score against English premiership club, Arsenal in a Champions League play off next Wednesday.

Last season’s Turkish league runners-up will host Arsenal in the first leg play off and the former Spartak Moscow striker has been listed for the game.

“I will do my best against Arsenal to help my team Fenerbahce reach the group stage of UEFA Champions League,” Emenike said.

“The Arsenal match is on my mind, it is very important to me, I can’t wait to play the game, score goals to earn victory.”

Arsenal’s last visit to Fenerbahce was in the 2008/2009 UEFA Champions League group stage and the EPL outfit came out tops 5-2 to end Fenerbahçe’s 15-match unbeaten home run in Europe.

Emenike, who has bagged a four-year deal at the Turkish club, is also in line to debut for Fenerbahce in league opener on Saturday against Konyaspor.

He has looked sharp in training since he first worked out with the rest of the squad on Tuesday.
