Political parties in Edo State, on Tuesday, endorsed Governor Adams Oshiomhole for the 2015 presidential election.

Operating under the aegis of Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), the chairman, Dr. Samson Isibor, said Oshiomhole was endorsed because of his landmark achievements since he assumed office in 2008.

They urged him to contest the 2015 presidential election in the interest of Nigerians “and also because he is eminently qualified for the top elective post”.

“Governor Oshiomhole’s track record in bringing  the dividends of democracy to Edo State cannot be quantified.

Also, Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State had advised Governor  Oshiomhole to run for the Presidency due to his exemplary leadership style and numerous infrastructural development that criss-cross the three senatorial zones of the state. We strongly believe that Governor Oshiomhole would make a better President than Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

“The development agenda of Oshiomhole in Edo since he took office has ensured that every part of the state has benefitted a great deal from schools and health centre  rehabilitation, provision of water and good roads which has opened up rural areas.

“All over the country, the landmark achievements of the governor is being celebrated and I am sure this is why Fashola suggested him. I am sure the APC will nominate him and and he will defeat Jonathan”.
