The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), on Sunday, announced the result of Oredo Local Government in Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State.
Governor Godwin Obaseki hails from Oredo.
The All Progressives Congress (APC)’s candidate, Monday Okpebholo, got 30,780 votes, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s candidate, Asue Ighodalo, got 24,938 while Labour Party (LP)’s candidate, Olumide Akpata, got 5,389 votes.
So far, APC has won 11 LGAs, while the Peoples Democratic Party still has six.
