Alhaji Muluku Agah, member representing Nassarawa Eggon East constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has congratulated Christians on this year’s Easter celebration, urging Nigerians to embrace tolerance.
He also called on Christians to use the Easter celebration to pray for the nation’s unity, peace, progress and development.
Agah’s Easter message was contained in a statement signed by his media aide, Prince Yaks Abims, and made available to newsmen in Nassarawa Eggon on Sunday.
Agah, the most ranking lawmaker at the Assembly, described Easter as a period of self-discipline, sacrifice, forgiveness, love and commitment to God.
He congratulated the Christian community on the celebration and wished them peaceful celebration.
“Let’s use the Easter period to pray for the unity, peace, progress and development of our state and the country at large.
“As no nation will achieve speedy development without peace,” he said.
Agah enjoined Christians to continue to imbibe the spirit of sacrifice, peace, love and tolerance.
He called on the faithful to use the Easter celebration to show love to the less-privileged in the society that would improve their standard of living.
The lawmaker further urged his constituents to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and tolerate one another irrespective of their affiliations.
