Ahmed MusaSuper Eagles hero in Wednesday’s 2014 World Cup qualifiers game against the Harambee Stars of Kenya, Ahmed Musa has expressed his delighted with his performance in the match against host Kenya.

The CSKA Moscow striker scored the match winner, the only goal of the match in the 81st minute.

Musa said that the victory was due to teamwork and unity as a group.

“This is a great performance from the boys and I am delighted we worked as a unit to score and I didn’t do it by myself. It’s team effort.”

“I was not auditioning for a place in the starting eleven as much as I at times come off the bench. I knew I was tasked to score and that is what I did. I did my job.”

“The win is good for us because we have got our campaign back on track with the maximum points and now top the group.”

“I saw the keeper came off his line and I had to try my chance which was successful, this was my fifth goal in national team and I’m excited.”

The goal crowns an impeccable week that has seen him lift the Russian Premier League, Russian Cup.
