Didier Drogba showed his human side when he joined the celebration of his country’s achievement of winning the African Cup of Nations at Equatorial Guinea on Sunday.
The Cote d’ Ivoire legend and former Captain had led the team to two other finals in Egypt 2006 and Gabon-Equatorial Guinea 2012 when they lost on both occasions on penalties to Egypt and Zambia respectively.
He watched from the comfort of his home in London as his compatriots battled through another gruelling finals that also ended goalless and the nerve racking penalty shootout that ensued once again.
It was pure agony turned to ecstasy as Drogba posted a video on his Instagram account, showing the moment when Copa Barry’s last kick sealed the victory, as he jumped for joy alongside his family.
