As the 51st Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, was being given the staff of office on Monday, dignitaries from all walks of life honoured him with their presence.
Among the early callers at the Enuowa, venue of the occasion were the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun.
Also at the event were former Minister of Defence, Gen. Theophilus Danjuma, the Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, the former governor of Lagos State, Alhaji Bola Tinubu, among others.
The Chairman of the Media Sub-Committee of the occasion, Mr Biyi Odulande said that the event was an important one that attracted many people from all walks of life to Ile-Ife.
According to him, the same event took place about 35 years ago, during the coronation of the late Ooni Okunade Sijuwade in 1980.
