There was confusion in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State on Wednesday as anti-riot policemen tear-gassed some members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

But, a security source said that those tear-gassed are some Niger Delta militants “imported to Ekiti to cause crisis in Saturday’s governorship election”.
In the confusion, Governor Ayodele Fayose was allegedly tear-gassed.
The governor was seen on the ground surrounded by some of his aides.

But, the security source said “Fayose is only acting a script. Who tear-gassed him? How come those around him were not affected?”
Venue of the confusion was Fajuyi area in the state capital.

The governor was later taken to the Government House Clinic.
Armed policemen are still at the Fajuyi area as at the time of this report.
