Former Super Eagles player, Bright Omokaro, on Wednesday urged the Super Eagles to conquer Morocco in their quarter-final match at the ongoing Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.

The home-based Eagles will battle the Atlas Lions of Morocco in the quarter-final match on Saturday following their 3-1 defeat of South Africa’s Bafana Bafana at the group stage.

Omokaro, known as “10-10’’ in his playing days, said in Lagos that though the Eagles would beat the Moroccans, it was not going to be an easy encounter.

“We all know that the only way to remain in this championship is to win on Saturday. And I believe the team will rise up to the occasion by defeating Morocco.

“The team must be ready for a serious battle because it will not be easy for them to record a win,’’ the former defunct Bendel Insurance defender said.

The former Nigerian international advised Coach Stephen Keshi to ensure that the Eagles played as a team in their quest to advance to the next stage of the competition.

The competition which commenced on January 11 will end on February 1.

The tournament, now in its third edition, is organised to project the talents of African players who ply their trade on home soil.
