CHAN_2014_African_Nations_ChampionshipFootball Enthusiasts on Saturday hailed Nigeria’s Super Eagles for an outstanding comeback against the Atlas Lions of Morocco at the ongoing African Nations Championship (CHAN) in South Africa.

Nigeria defeated Morocco 4-3 in spite of being three goals down in the first half of the quarter-final encounter.

The enthusiasts, who spoke in interviews in Lagos, said that the Eagles were resilient.

A member of the Atlanta Olympics gold winning team, Teslim Fatusi, expressed happiness over the victory.

“Honestly, I am impressed with the outcome of this match.

“The players were able to record victory against a coordinated opponent, Morocco,” he said.

He urged the team not to lose concentration in their semi-final match.

Also, a former Coach of the 3SC FC of Ibadan, Festus Allen, applauded the Eagles for their fighting spirit.

Allen advised the team to remain dedicated and make Nigeria proud by winning the competition.

“They have proven their worth as players; the whole country is proud of them for going this far,” he said.

The competition will end on Feb. 1.
