Buhari, Amosun, David-West, others attend commendation service for late mother of NGE’s President

Former Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, Ogun State governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and one-time Petroluem Minister, Professor Tam David-West were among several dignitaries who attended the commendation service for the late mother of President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, Mr. Femi Adesina in Lagos on Saturday.

Also at the service for late Mrs. Ruphina Olajumoke Adesina were the Commissioners of Information of Delta State, Chike Ogeah,; Ondo State, Kayode Akinmade; and Ogun State, Yusuph Olaniyonu.

Late Mrs. Adesina, who died on August 5, was born on June 28, 1938 to the Ogunnaiya family of Ijebu-Igbaga, Ogun State.

After her studies, she became a teacher and retired voluntarily in 1970. She is survived by many children, grand-children and great grand-children, including Professor Olutayo Adesina and Mr. Femi Adesina.
