Brazilian footballer dies during match

A Brazilian footballer is suspected to have died from heart problems during a match in his home country.
The sad news comes less than 48 hours after Cameroon international, Patrick Ekeng, suffered a heart attack and died during a Romanian league match on Friday.
Twenty-six-year-old Bernardo Ribeiro was playing in an amateur game in the Minas Gerais state in South-East Brazil when he began to feel severely unwell.
He was taken to the Sao Sebastiao hospital but medical staff told Brazilian media he passed away before getting there. Ribeiro, who came through Flamengo’s youth academy, had featured on nine occasions for Friburguense in the Rio de Janeiro state championship this season.
He spent 12 years of his early career with Flamengo after joining as a nine-year-old before leaving for Albania to play for Skenderbeu Korce.
A one-year spell at Australian A-League side Newcastle Jets followed before moves to Finland and back to Brazil last year.
