Beyond Limits of Osun emerges champions of NNL Super 8

Beyond Limits of Ikene Remo in Ogun has emerged the Nigerian National League (NNL) Super 8, 2024 champions.

In an entertaining encounter on Thursday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu, the Academy boys defeated Nasarawa United of Lafia 4-3 on penalties to win the trophy.

After 97 minutes of regulation time the match ended two goals a piece thus they have to settle for penalty kicks.

Farouk Ogundare put Beyond Limit’s Academy ahead in the 30th minutes of the first half while Anas Yusuf equalised shorty after to end the half 1-1.
On resumption of second half, Ayodele Adesina put the academy boys ahead 2-1 on the 47th minute and at 75th minute on the dot, Moses Peter equalised for Nasarawa to push the tie into penalties.
Farouk Ogundare of Beyond Limit emerged as the most valuable player of the tournament.
After the final matches of the tournament, Beyond Limit, Nasarawa United, Ikorodu city and Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri booked their places to the Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL)
