The community mourns the loss of Evangelist Roleola, a pillar of kindness, generosity, and faith, who departed on April 17, 2024.
Her recent burial ceremony was a testament to the profound impact she had on countless lives.
As a devoted mother and grandmother, Evangelist Roleola’s love and compassion knew no bounds. Her selfless nature and warm spirit earned her the admiration and affection of all who knew her.
The burial service was a fitting tribute to her remarkable life, reflecting the love and respect she inspired in those who gathered to bid her farewell. Friends, family, and community members came together to celebrate her legacy and offer condolences to her bereaved loved ones.
Her eldest daughter, Mrs Yetunde Fatoye, spoke glowingly of her selfless life. Hear her:
“My mom was a true example of selflessness. She gave everything she had for her family, sacrificing her own comfort and dreams so that we could chase ours. Her love was not just spoken. It was lived in every meal prepared, every late-night prayer whispered, and every tear wiped from our faces.
“She worked tirelessly, never complaining, always putting our needs before hers. No task was ever too small, no burden too heavy, if it meant her family would be cared for. Her hands were strong from labor, yet gentle with love.
“Most importantly, my mother was a woman of prayer. She fought her battles on her knees, trusting in God for every breakthrough. Her prayers were a shield over our lives, and I know her faith still covers us, even in her absence.
Evangelist Roleola’s professional life began with the National Library of Nigeria, where she worked for 35 years, from May 2, 1977, to 2nd May 2012. Through decades of dedicated service, she contributed significantly to the preservation and dissemination of knowledge in Nigeria.
Beyond her career, she was a woman deeply rooted in faith and spiritual commitment. On July 6, 2008, she was ordained an Evangelist at Wind & Fire Christian Ministry, Mile 2, Lagos where she served faithfully, touching many lives with her teachings, compassion, and unwavering devotion to God.
Evangelist Roleola’s passing leaves a void, but her memory will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her. May her legacy of love, kindness, and faith forever be etched in our hearts.
