At World Choral Games 2026 in Sweden, MFM puts Nigeria on World Focus Again
The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries has put Nigeria on the world focus once again, as the Ministry’s Mountain Top Chorale emerged champions, winning gold at the recently concluded World Choir Games 2026, held in Helsingborg, Sweden.
The MFM Mountain Top Chorale first participated in the games 10 years ago.
At the 2026 games, competed by over 160 choir groups from 40 countries, the MFM Mountain Top Chorale won gold at the C11 Category – Sacred Music with accompaniment and in C14 Category – Spiritual, the team won gold medal and became champions of the world in the Spiritual category.
It is instructive to note that the same Mountain Top Chorale proudly represented Nigeria at the 2024 World Choir Games, held in Auckland, New Zealand, which featured over 11,000 singers from more than 30 countries.
The MFM team won two gold medals in the Champions Competition in Category C19 (Contemporary Music – Mixed Voices) and Category C22 (Spiritual).
At the World Choir Games, known as the ‘Olympics of choral music’ 2026 games, which ended on Monday morning, the Mountain Top Chorale represented Nigeria and was the only country from Africa.

Immediately the declaration of the Mountain Top Chorale was announced as winners of gold in the spiritual category, the green-white-green flag of Nigeria was boldly hoisted, and the country’s national anthem was played to the admiration of all guests and participants.
Members of the MFM chorale thronged the podium, rendering and dancing to what has become the Ministry’s anthem, “Olorun MFM, Olorun alagbara” (God of MFM, most powerful God).
While most chorale teams were sponsored to the games by their country’s governments, the Nigerian representatives, comprising 53 team members, were solely sponsored by the General Overseer of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, a church music/songs enthusiast.
Olukoya, a renowned chorister and deliverance minister par excellence, has invested so much in church music, sponsoring both individuals, groups and institutions’ musical departments across the country.
“It will take any church, or ministry over 50 years to get to the stage the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries is today,” Olukoya once declared. No doubt, this is not just a boast but a statement of fact.
