A top National Prophet, Prophet Tayo Popoola, has cautioned the President Bola Tinubu administration over the handling of the current strike action by members of Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) over poor conditions of service.

In a statement issued at the headquarters of Divine Favour Prayer Assembly Ministries, Mowe, Ogun State on Tuesday, Popoola said God spoke to him in a vision that unless the Government speedily resolved all issues surrounding the strike, it may cripple tertiary education in Nigeria.

Said he: “The Lord revealed in the vision a clip in which retired professors were hurriedly recalled back to the classrooms to teach students, following the exit of many of the striking lecturers from the University system.”

The cleric, whose visions on national issues have never been faulted, stated that nearly all the federal universities are currently depleted by the japa syndrome and that this current strike, if not treated carefully to the satisfaction of the striking lecturers may affect the future of education in Nigeria.

It could be recalled that the top request by the striking lecturers is the review of the 2009 agreement with the Federal Government in line with the current economic reality in the country.
