APC will face fire in Kaduna, vows Yero

Governor Mukhtar Ramalan Yero of Kaduna State has told the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he was ready to match fire for fire.
Yero, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in the February 28 election said he would no longer watch APC members unleash violence in the North-West state.
The governor, who spoke on Monday at the flag-off of his governorship campaign, stated that recent indices have shown that the opposition APC has been behaving as if it has monopoly of violence.
An angry Yero said: “It is time to call the opposition to order. They would be given a taste of their own medicine if they continue. Reports reaching us show that when PDP members go out to campaign in places like Zaria and Angwan-Kanawa, they are being attacked by thugs sponsored by APC, but it is time they should know that we are ready for them. Our silence is never a sign of weakness. “Let me challenge you, if you are true biological sons of your father, come out and attack us when we are going out on our campaign and see if we will not retaliate. If you want to destroy or burn any of our party member’s property, your own will be the first to be destroyed. So, the choice is yours.
Yero also declared that the APC governorship candidate, Malam Nasiru El Rufai, is not an indigene of Kaduna State. “I throw it as an open challenge to him because I am from Zaria and he also claims to be from Zaria. He should come out and show his contribution to the development of the town”.
