APC North America hails Tinubu’s performance in first month as president

The North America chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Bola Tinubu for performing creditably in his first month in office.

The party, in a statement by its chairman and secretary, Messrs Olalekan Sanni and Adeniyi Adekola, said Tinubu has demonstrated a sound understanding of the solutions to the challenges confronting Nigeria as well as the political will to tackle them heads-on.

The party pointed out that the few steps taken by Tinubu so far have not only indicated his preparedness for the huge task of presidency but a sound understanding of it.

It said it was the reason the decisions have been applauded by stakeholders including opposition politicians.

APC North America specifically commended the president for announcing fuel subsidy removal, unification of foreign exchange rate and appointment of people it described as round pegs in round holes.

It described fuel subsidy as a deep hole in the finances of the government which needs to be stopped for public good.

The APC chapter urged Nigerians to support the move, assuring that the new administration will work out good palliatives to minimise the effect of subsidy removal.

It also called on Nigerians to continue to support the Tinubu administration, stressing that its policies will ultimately boost the economy and open up huge opportunities for citizens to create wealth with most Nigerians fulfilling their potentials.

Judging by their rich experience and qualifications, the APC chapter expressed confidence in the ability of the appointees, particularly the Chief of Staff (CoS) Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) Sen. George Akume to shape the new administration towards delivering on Tinubu’s mandate.

“We wish them the best as they take on this new national assignment and pray God Almighty to grant them more strength and wisdom to help build Nigeria of our dream.”
The statement read in part.
