Governor Sule Lamido of Jigawa State has described the All Progressives Congress (APC) as “the biggest threat to our democracy and the country”.
To the governor of the North-West state, the recent rumour from the APC that 10 commissioners in his executive council and eight members of the House of Assembly defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC “is a lie from the pit of hell”.
Lamido spoke during a PDP stakeholders’ meeting at the Government House, Dutse, the state capital.
Present at the meeting were all members of the State Executive Council, members of the House of Assembly, members of the National Assemblies from Jigawa State and others.
Lamido also disclosed that he spoke the truth in his recent interview with the AIT and the opposition has no answer to some of the posers he raised, “that is why they are confused”.
“The opposition is the biggest threat to our democracy. They report issues negatively in some national newspapers. We are intact as a single family composed of our executive council members, Assembly members, among others as one corporate entity”.
