tony_anenihChief Anthony Anenih, Chairman, Board of Trustees of PDP, on Monday urged party members and leaders to ensure discipline and loyalty to the party and its leadership.

Anenih made the call during a visit to Gov. Ibrahim Dankwambo of Gombe State in Gombe.

He said the party’s preoccupation was to ensure the restoration of discipline and loyalty of members to the party and its leadership.

The chairman commended Dankwambo for the “giant strides” recorded in the state within the two years of his leadership and urged him to sustain them.

“We are here to appreciate our performing governor of Gombe State.

“We are here to thank him for all he is doing for the people of the state; to appreciate the security arrangement made to maintain peace in Gombe State.

“The governor retired as Accountant-General of the Federation gracefully and since he left the office, nobody has raised accusing finger against him,” he said.

Earlier, Dankwambo said the people of the state were loyal to the party and imbibed the spirit of discipline.

He said the party followership in the state would continue to abide by its rules and regulations as well as ensure loyalty.

The chairman was accompanied by the Secretary of the board, Sen. Walid Jibril and other members.
